How can I improve my endurance?
You can improve your endurance through regular training and thus increase your running performance. There are a few tips and tricks that can help you improve your endurance while running:
- Interval training: In interval training, you alternate between stress and recovery phases. This allows you to train your endurance more effectively and increase your performance. For example, run as fast as you can for 30 seconds, then recover at a leisurely pace for 60 seconds. Repeat several times.
- Start slowly: If you want to improve your endurance, you should not start with a sprint straight away. Start slow and run at a lower heart rate to increase your aerobic endurance. This way your body gets used to the stress better and you can last longer.
- Regularity: In order to improve your endurance in the long term, you should go running regularly. Aim to run 2-3 times a week and slowly increase the run time and intensity. If you keep at it, you'll see progress soon.
