Weatherproof 2-layer material
A material was found for the winter cycling jacket that reliably protects against rain, cold and wind without sacrificing freedom of movement or breathability. An innovative two-layer material from Italy that combines the valued functions of three-layer materials. The 2-layer laminate combines robust, windproof polyamide on the outside and a fine, self-warming yarn on the inside of the jacket. The warming and windproof material is completed by a waterproof REACH-certified DWR impregnation. Odor-neutralizing merino inserts under the arms and on the back ensure additional insulation and improved moisture transport. Laser holes on the back allow body heat to escape and support the body's natural temperature regulation. Thanks to the lightweight fabric and innovative technologies, it is possible to create a unique winter jacket that fits snugly without adding bulk while providing full protection for extreme weather conditions.
More than just fabrics
For the second generation of the Generator Thermal Bike Jacket, the bike-specific cut has been revised so that the jacket fits snugly but offers enough space for a warm mid-layer or long-sleeved jersey. In order to avoid creasing in any position, the jacket is kept shorter on the front. On the other hand, the longer back catches splashing water and dirt, so the lower back and buttocks stay dry. Two large, recently open back pockets make all necessary utensils accessible at all times and an additional zipped pocket stores keys, phone and the like. The zipper with the Ryzon Camlock Slider allows the jacket to be opened with one hand when the zipper is folded up, so that you can also work with gloves on strenuous climbs without any problems. When the zipper is in the closed position, it is fixed so that the jacket does not open accidentally. To keep the wind out on winter days, the collar can be folded up and, thanks to the fine fabric, fits gently around the neck. Reflective trims on the waistband and back pockets increase visibility on short days.
