3 tips for your first triathlon
1. Keep calm – especially at the start
Your first triathlon is exciting, but panicking drains energy. Stay calm – especially during the swim start – and find your rhythm. It's better to start controlled than too fast.
2. Plan and practice changes in advance
Transition zones (swim → bike and bike → run) are often underestimated. Organize your gear in a structured way and practice the process a few times. This will save you valuable time and help you stay focused.
3. Allocate resources wisely
Triathlon is an endurance sport—don't push yourself to your limits right away. Find your pace and plan your energy carefully across all three disciplines. It's better to start at a steady pace than to overpace and then collapse later.
